2026-06-26 — second public revision

Snapshot: versions/2026-06-26.yaml. Changes vs 2026-02-25 (22 added, 31 removed, 18 moved, 18 changed):

• Timeline restructured: the M* column was dropped, north stars moved to their own column, and EIP/SFI/CFI badges were added throughout.
• Finality path reworked: "1-epoch finality", "4-slot epochs", "endgame finality" and "endgame slots" were replaced by decoupled consensus (I*) and 1-round finality (L*); quick slots moved from Hegotá to J*.
• Roles: "attester stake cap", "128K attester cap", "1 ETH includers" and "APS" were removed; snail issuance (I*) and attester-proposer separation (L*) were added.
• Post-quantum path concretized: PQ leanXMSS attestations, PQ leanSPHINCS transactions, PQ leanDA sampling and post quantum heartbeat replaced "post quantum available chain", "post quantum attestations", "post quantum sampling" and "post quantum transactions"; the post quantum L1 north star moved from M* to L*.
• DL: the per-fork BPO steps (Hegotá/J*/L* "BPO blobs increase") were replaced by a continuous data availability increases track; "return to calldata" and "decrease sample size" were removed; "cell-level messages" became cell-level deltas; blob streaming moved from Hegotá to longer term.
• EL: the zkEVM proof path is now "optional 2-of-3" → "mandatory 1-of-1" → native rollups; "canonical guest" became evm-asm canonical guest and moved from L* to Glamsterdam; "3x/year gas limit" was replaced by a continuous gas limit increases track; "native AA", "transaction assertions", "NTT precompile(s)", "block in blobs", "announce nonce", "payload chunking", "AA proofs", "proof aggregation" and "exposed zkISA" were removed; pureth purges, zkzkRISC-V frames, frame transactions, keyed nonces & recent roots, state-asm, ephemeral keys and privacy mempool were added.
